weekly photo challenge: thankful
it’s sunday after thanksgiving. in the early morning light, i see the orange tree in the backyard with its fruits turning yellow. year in and year out, it doesn’t fail to provide fruits to enjoy and to share in the springtime.
the orange tree bears its fruits in silence. and just like the things that we know will always be there, it’s easy to take its generosity for granted.
i understand that one flaw in the human character is to realize and appreciate the value of something when it’s already gone. but it shouldn’t be that way. don’t you think it behooves us to give credit when it’s due in a timely manner?
today, i want the orange tree to represent everyone and everything that keeps on giving without thought of return. i stand before you in humble gratitude. thank you from the bottom of my heart.
