time to move on

January 1, 2009 at 9:58 pm 5 comments

i came back from a long trip back east and didn’t realize that journalspace is gone for good. it’s been alleged that a disgruntled former employee has sabotaged the system to such an extent that recovery is impossible.

i feel like a bird coming home to find the tree where i nest has been cut down. it hurts.

i’ve been part of the js community for three years and cherish the friendships and contacts that i’ve made there.

but it’s time to move on.  thanks for the memories.

I just can’t see Dylan doing it, unless someone else buys it…

oh well, if such is the case, i don’t blame him at all. sometimes a disaster can be a blessing, too. it frees you up from a situation that’s becoming increasingly untenable. i’m sure that he started journalspace with thoughts of making big money dancing in his head and having fun at the same time. but the current recession has taken a toll on venture capitalists. the possibility of being the next facebook or yahoo has banished.
