It’s been said that we often look but we do not see. It takes an enlightened eye to show us what we’ve been missing all along. This poem is dedicated to those who continue to share their vision. They include you, you, and most especially you.
we’re caught in pictures
taken year after year
from scenes that life conjures
moments before they clear
frozen in time these images
show our evolution
as we meet our challenges
recklessly and with caution
we’re caught in pictures
taken from the world we know
tucked in an album
the ones that we outgrow

Just in time for the 9/11 10th anniversary.

come to think of it, the poem could as well speak of the 9/11 and post-9/11 photos.

If only we can make the most out of these two eyes.

all we need is focus to see the forest from the trees, but that’s hard to do when distractions get in the way. π¦

I rarely visit here, because every time I click your name, nothing appears. I guess I should do a lot of catching up. :)) Nice poems. I wish I can write as better as you do. π
