Happy New Year To All

I watched New Year’s Rocking Eve on TV last night, and for the time, Dick Clark, who founded and hosted the event since 1972, was missing in action. He died in 2012.

As he would have said, the show must go on and it did with as much fanfare as before. Ryan Seacrest, his designated successor, did an excellent job.

The show started with a two-hour segment remembering Dick Clark. It was a fitting tribute to his many accomplishments through the years. It just felt a little weird hearing them talk about him in the past tense.

So long, Dick Clark. we’d be missing you.
