france is one of the most visited places in the world. it should come as no surprise as it has much to offer for the young and the old alike. it’s also more than the sum of its castles, cathedrals, museums, and famous landmarks. to discover what you’re missing, you need to get off the beaten path.

these photos were taken at the backdoor of the old town of bourges. it was a world far away from the din and bustle of tourist destinations. for three hours, we walked around the marsh and behind people’s backyards and observing them as they tended their gardens. it was simply marvelous to see the country’s hidden charms.
