Weekly Photo Challenge: Infinite

Location: Prague, Czech Republic
One of the popular tourist attractions in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is this astronomical clock located in the Old Town City square. It dates back to the 1400s and it still works.
It’s amazing to see this timeless (pardon the pun) piece of art. It represents time as well as the infinite as its hands move around in a never-ending circle.
One way to achieve immortality is to create something that will continue to exist long after you are gone. In this respect, the folks who made the clock, Mikuláš of Kadan and Jan Šindel, could be considered immortals.

the crowd usually get bigger at the old town square at the start of every hour. this is when figurines flanking the clock are set in motion. at the same time, figurines representing the twelve apostles also appear at the doorways above the clock. it’s an amazing sight, but watch for your belongings, too. a lot of pickpockets around.
