the alley looks different now, but at least the cobbled steps are forgiving on my aging knees.

it seems like yesterday when i made a promise to meet you in front of the building ahead. i’m just sorry it has taken me this long.

i didn’t make it on that day because i was shot for being an army deserter. although i survived, it took me a while to recover. by then, you were gone.

after the war, i’m glad we have found each other again through a mutual acquaintance and that our love hasn’t waned after all these years.
