weekly photo challenge: beginning

location: galapagos islands, ecuador
 
it’s the time before sunrise. poets often refer to it as the chiaroscuro of dawn.

it can be a metaphor for a new beginning filled with uncertainty and doubt.

when confronted with the big unknown, it’s normal to be afraid. at the same time, we must forge ahead and face it with courage.

it’s better to be brave.

“a brave man dies but once,” a native american proverb said. “a coward many times.”

a brave man or woman, if i may add, also doesn’t have to live with regrets for the roads not taken.

for the coming year, i wish everyone a life full of adventures always mindful that the best is yet to be.
