weekly photo challenge: on the move

when you’re visiting a famous museum like the louvre in paris, nothing stands still except the statues and the displays. you’d have no time to dilly-dally. you’d find yourself always on the move.

under the circumstances, taking pictures can be very challenging. the results would likely appear out of focus or blurry as the winged victory of samothrace that i took last summer.
if there’s a lesson to be learned here, it’s to avoid going to the louvre or to any popular destination during the peak of the tourist season so that you’d have more time to get your money’s worth. better still, put your camera aside and enjoy the moment as you engage your senses to the fullest.

You could move around there for many days and still not see everything.

it’s so true. after all, it’s the biggest museum in the world. i think the best strategy to get the most out of your visit is to maintain an attitude that you’ll be coming back.

I have to remind myself that frequently, too: Leigh, live in the moment, don’t try to orchestrate, write, or otherwise “capture” it in a photograph. Just experience (and hopefully enjoy) it. Good reminder, Plaridel.
