Resembles a thistle blossom and a rather large pink speckled fly.

i believe it’s a six-spot burnet, a day-flying moth of the family Zygaenidae.

it’s a day-flying moth common in Europe. glad i was able to take a picture of it.

It’s a really pretty moth, I love the iridescent aqua wings, and the spots make it even more colorful! I have more pretty moths in my garden than butterflies.
