Unfortunately, I can’t send it forward. Sorry, I just can’t bear the thought of putting someone on the spot and add to his or her stress level when everybody should have fun at this time of the year.

Her questions:

If you could turn back the hands of time, when and where would you want to go back to and what would you like to do or change?

I’d go back to the 19th century during the time of the Brontes. I’d been to the village of Haworth in Northern England where they spent most of their lives, visited the parsonage where they stayed, went to the church where they worshipped and most of them buried, and hiked the moors that they loved so well. I’d read a lot about them, too. But I’d like to meet them in person, most especially, Emily, whom I have a crush. I want to introduce her to the internet. Being a recluse, I know she’d love it.

What is the your favorite song at the moment?


Well, Tift Merritt’s Another Country keeps playing in my head. Its lyrics speak to me.

What is your favorite book?


It’s hard to pick and choose, but one thing that comes to mind at the moment is, The Art of Racing in the Rain, by Garth Stein. It’s about the close relationship between a race car driver, Denny, and his pet dog, Enzo, as told from the perspective of the latter as it neared the end of its life. A movie version is expected to be released this summer. Please keep a box of tissues beside you when you read this book as it will make you cry.

If there’s one place that you dream of going to, where is that and why would you like to go there?

I’ve got itchy feet. Wherever the road leads, that’s where I’d go.

We all have frustrations in life. We have dreams that never came to life. Do you have any dreams or ambitions that you really wanted to do or to be but fate never gave you a chance to pursue it? If you have what is it?

I had a dream job, but as fate would have it, I didn’t get it even though I tried hard. I guess it was for the best because a better one came along.
