For Friday Fictioneers 100-Word Challenge: 27 November 2015
Girls could be like a rock sometimes, impenetrable and hard to figure out.
Kelsey and I lived in the same neighborhood. She knew I had a crush on her, but she treated me more like dirt.
At the Thanksgiving block party tonight, she looked gorgeous in a blue sweater.
“You can kiss me if you want,” she said when I complimented her.
“Seriously?” I thought she was joking.
“Do you mean we’re it?” I teased back.
She giggled and looked down, but didn’t reply.
It was then that I put my arm around her. No words needed to be said.

Very cute, and rings true, too. Girls don’t want the guys to be too full of themselves, after all…

And that’s how it is with the fair sex. We might be silent as stone but it is our only defense against women who are as changing as the sea.

Ah, this was a lovely happy ending. She seems to have become more interested in boys. They sound young. She may have been watching him for some time as she’s taken the first step. Well done, Plaridel. π — Suzanne
