Amelia had been waiting at the bus stop for what seemed like an eternity. She was running away from her stepdad who started molesting her.
The bus arrived. The driver opened the door and let her in.
“Sir, I don’t have any money, but I have this necklace…”
“Miss, it isn’t worth a bean. Please get off my bus.”
“But, sir…”
It was at that moment a goateed, middle-aged man from the back of the bus intervened.
“I’ll take care of it,” he told the driver. He then looked at her with the kind of look she had known before.

Sounds like she already is a statistic… and as therapist who has worked with sexually molested girls, it has very little to do with wisening up, and everything to do with men who violate girls and women. Sad story, sat reality!
