A Feel Good Moment

I chanced upon this wedding video that shows the groom sobbing like a baby. Something doesn’t compute. Is it for real? He’s built like a football defensive end that would bring terror to any quarterback.

It made me wonder what could be wrong. Was he wailing about the end of bachelorhood? Was it a shotgun wedding? Was he being forced to marry a wicked witch? Or was it just one of those faux videos that haunt the internet?

As I watched the rest of the video, I found out, to my relief, that it was none of the above.

It was a real wedding and his tears were not out sadness or frustration, but out of sheer joy. I don’t blame him. The bride was a real beauty. What a lucky guy. If I were him, I won’t mind being emotional, too, even if they call me a wimp.

It was a feel good moment that would touch everyone who sees it. It was the stuff movies are made of. Small wonder it has gone viral getting more than 1.2 million views so far.

In this follow-up video, Gabriel and Annabella Deku sat down to talk about their wedding and share some insights on their relationship. They looked so adorable as a couple. This time they were all smiles. Nobody cried. I wish them a long and happy life together.

Wow. That is so touching. People often forget that men…even big men…have feelings.
    Thank you for reminding us.
