In the stillness of the night, Jack broke into the house through an open window seeking revenge.

He found Jenna in bed snuggling a teddy bear. Looking at her sleeping like an angel, it was hard to believe she was the same girl who repeatedly bullied his dyslectic sister at school causing her to commit suicide.

As he inched closer and closer, Jenna stirred and woke up smelling alcohol on his breath. Before she could react, he put his hand over the terrified teen’s mouth.

“Shhh… ,“ Jack said in a soothing voice. “It’ll be over before you know it.“

    I’d guess he’s young also. What a tragedy. She’ll be dead and he’ll likely spend a good part of his life in prison or worse. Good writing, Plaridel. —- Suzanne
