It was on a hot summer night in the desert when Eve gave birth to her firstborn.

Going into labor, she didn’t expect the pain. It was so excruciating that Eve started cursing Adam who was by her side unable to do anything.

“Never again,” she cried out. It was a vow she’d break many times over.

After more pushing, the baby came out and a piercing cry was heard, announcing the birth of the first human ever conceived.

Understandingly, Adam fainted at the bloody sight. But after witnessing more births that followed, he got accustomed to the whole thing.

Nice glossary for the Bible story, where such details were regrettably omitted.

It was first experience for Eve, cannot blame her. Besides it is only birth, she has a lot to face as the baby grows up. Goodluck!

    Dear Plaridel,

You’ve put humanity into a story that so many of us know by rote, but never stop to think about. Well done.

    Shalom,

Besides that, there were no hospitals to count on either. Even in the Book of Genesis it says that women would have a lot of travails in childbirth
