For her daughter Abby’s birthday, Emily bought a Pin the Tail on the Donkey Game Set.
It reminded Emily of Buster, the miniature donkey, that her parents cared for on their farm when she was growing up. He had been part of her birthday celebrations until his sudden death that broke her heart.
Many years had passed since then. She left home, went to college, got married and had a family of her own. But the memories of her beloved pet remained.
“Buster lives on!” Emily thought as she watched Abby and her friends having a blast playing the game.

Dear Plaridel,
I had a dog who died suddenly about 46 years ago. I still miss her. I can relate to Emily. Nicely done.

When I was about 12 my dad bought a little donkey. She had a colt a few months later. Jenny was very friendly, but not a good ride. She walked really slow. 🙂
