Location: Bath, Somerset, England
We arrived in the city of Bath early Friday afternoon. It was the end of the road for me while other members of the group continued on their extended tour of England. My flight back to the U.S. was scheduled Saturday, the following day.
Our tour guide hosted a farewell dinner in honor of those of us heading back home. Several choices were offered for the three-course meal. I had Pork Belly Pate for appetizer, Pan-Fried Fillet of Sea Bream for entrée, and Creme Brulee for dessert as shown above. I enjoyed it as much as it was free. Ok, I was only kidding. It was actually very good.
Bath is well-known for its ancient Roman-built baths. Since I visited it more than 10 years ago, it has undergone a facelift for good or bad depending on who you talk to. As I walked around, I noticed modern developments here and there including the new mall and bus station. I guess nothing can hold back the march of time. Everything has to succumb to it sooner or later. Still, it remains a beautiful city and worth putting in your bucket list.

Lastly, at Terrace Walk, near the Roman Baths, I encountered the familiar smell of Filipino food. It was coming from JC’s Kitchen considered the best street food in town. Too bad, I was already booked for dinner. Hopefully, I could get a chance to try it on my next visit. .
