It was a perfect day for playing ball. Dylan came early with his new pair of sneakers but didn’t find anybody in the park. All he saw were seniors doing their early morning walk.

“What happened to Luke, Jerry, Noah, and Tom?” he thought to himself anxiously looking at his watch. “They should be here by now.”

Dylan decided to sit on the bench and waited for his friends for what seemed like an eternity. He was totally unaware of being slowly approached from behind.

“Boo! Gotcha!” his friends yelled.

“What the hell! I thought you guys stood me up.”

I’m glad it was a happy ending. There have been a lot of unhappy ones in this week’s stories.
