For Friday Fictioneers 100-Word Challenge: 19 March 2021

The tree stood like a giant sentinel at the end of the Garden of Eden.

“Let’s see what’s out there,” the ever curious Eve told Adam.

“I’d rather not,” he replied. “Didn’t the Lord say we should stay put in the garden?”

But Eve couldn’t be denied. She had always been a force of nature with an unstoppable mindset.

When Eve walked past the tree, Adam wasn’t man enough to stop her and had to follow suit.

This escapade and other minor transgressions that followed led to the eating of the forbidden fruit that banished them from the garden forever.

I guess there is a bit of Eve in all of us. She gets the blame, but Adam is a weak sod. πŸ˜€

Without Eve there are no people. And which almighty god doesn’t know what’s going to happen? It was all planned. If you want something to be done, you forbid it. Always works…
