Nicholas was haunted by the supposedly alien specie roaming the nearby woods.

He spent days in pursuit, hiding behind the bushes, finger on the trigger and ready to shoot at a moment’s notice.

The object of his obsession remained elusive until it finally showed up. From a colorful fairy-like creature, it morphed into a monster, and attacked him with all its might. Armed with only a camera, Nicholas was doomed.

His bloody carcass or whatever remained of it was later found. All indications had suggested that Nicholas was mauled by a bear. But darn, if only the dead could speak.

Some days you just can’t move for alien species and other days you can’t find one

The only ones I truly get the chills from are spiders and centipedes. My rational brain tells me it’s silly, because look how much BIGGER I am! Still, they creep me out. Can’t imagine seeing either one as man-sized. Gah. Don’t want to think about that!

    Dear Plaridel,

The scariest sci fi movies when I was growing up were those with gigantic bugs. No wonder I’m afraid of them. πŸ˜‰ Good one.

Great story of mystery, perhaps our mystical creature doesn’t like it’s photo being taken – poor thing is really shy and wouldn’t hurt a fly …until you point that camera.
