For Friday Fictioneers 100-Word Challenge: 3 September 2021

It was a lovely spot by the river that reminded him of the paradise that they lost after eating the forbidden fruit.

Adam went there to keep his sanity. As you know, Eve could be too clingy like the forebear of the koala. Could you blame him if he felt like she was still a rib that hadn’t left his side?

This was one of those times. Adam hid under a tree for his much-needed space and fell asleep. Unfortunately, Eve found him soon enough betrayed by his distinctive snoring style. She gave him an earful that he wouldn’t forget.

Actually, there did not appear to be any pressure from Eve; “she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.” He could have said, No. πŸ˜‰
        But hilarious historical fiction!

Love it. Too much togetherness. My marriage tale is of two who loved long but did not cling. Not clinging I think is better.

Interesting response to the prompt. Age old issues between man and woman — all goes back to the garden.

    The original sin — snoring.

Adam is lucky she didn’t drown him. πŸ˜€

I’m sure Eve has her reasons. Adam seems to be one of these guys who like to whine.

You certainly put a new spin on the first couple. Definitely Paradise Lost. Thanks for the chuckles.

I enjoyed this story, Plaridel. Nice spin on the residents of
Paradise. I could picture Eve yelling at Adam. It put a smile
on my face. Good one … Stay Safe 😷 Isadora 😎
