β€œMake hay while the sun shines,” her grandpa would say, but Brie loved to procrastinate. She had this attitude that things had a way of taking care of themselves.

The only exception was on her wedding day. Brie was in church at 7:00 a.m. en ponto. As the last remaining single among her friends, it was a trip that she couldn’t miss.

In her grandpa’s eyes, Brie was the most beautiful bride in the world. He hoped she wouldn’t postpone having kids so he could enjoy them while he was still alive and kicking. For that, wish grandpa good luck.

I wonder; how old was Brie? Perhaps Grandpa should have a chat with the groom.

A nice feel-good story. I agree with grandpa; a child on the knee is a worthy goal.

Aside from the obsolete term “old maid” I enjoyed your story, Plaridel.

Good luck, Grandpa! Being a grandparent is great – and being a great grandparent is probably even better! Brie was wise not to procrastinate about her wedding.

A lovely tale and grandpa can hope, but it isn’t really his business. Maybe all her friends have kids already and she sees that as an incentive.
