For Friday Fictioneers 100-Word Challenge: 21 January 2022

It seemed like yesterday, but a quarter of century had passed since he left town.

When Dino visited the library of his youth, he noticed it had grown with the times with internet access and all. But the memories of the past still lingered.

Egged on and inspired by Angela, it was here where Dino spent a lot of time studying for the future he could only dream of growing up poor. With hard work and perseverance, it became a reality.

If Angela were around, Dino knew she’d be proud of what he had accomplished. Sadly, she was long gone.

    Dear Plaridel,

Good for Dino. His hard work paid off. And you leave us wondering what happened to Angela. Nicely done.

    Shalom,

25 years can fly by in a flash and it’s so easy not to grab hold of the opportunities that come our way. Good that Dino made the most of his, thanks to Angela it seems.
