It was early spring. The Garden of Eden was in full bloom with vibrant colors all around.

When Adam went to look for Eve, he found her by the tree of the good and evil. She appeared to be in meditated state, enchanted by the beauty and fragrance of its blossoms.

“Don’t get too close to that tree,” he warned. “Don’t you remember that the Lord forbids us not to eat the fruit from that tree?

“What’s your problem?” she replied. “Adam, lighten up. You know, I’m just looking.”

Meanwhile, the serpent was quite amused, watching from a nearby tree.

I’ve always thought the tree of good and evil was a pretty unkind trick to play on Adam and Eve

I like Eve’s response to Adam, to ‘lighten up’! Very realistic!

    Dear Plaridel,

Just looking? Y’know…Adam’s halo wasn’t on all that tightly. He was as duped by the serpent as his wife. Just sayin’. Good one.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

I like how you make these old myths appear real. They have a few months until the apples ripen.
