The serpent encountered a sulking Eve during his daily ramble.

“Is something the matter?” he asked.

“Leave me alone. Mind your own business.”

“Talk to me. For your sanity, get off your chest what’s bothering you.”

“I need change.”

“Why so?” the serpent sounded perplexed. “You live in an idyll place surrounded by flowers and nature at its best.β€œ

“That’s exactly the problem,” she sighed. “It’s too perfect. There’s no room for anything else.”

“How does Adam feel about it?”

“He doesn’t care a hoot. He loves things as they are.”

“I can see conflict brewing.”

“You better believe it.”

True, life would be very boring without a little drama now and then!

You took me to the verse in Hamlet, β€œThere is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so” — If Eve is overthinking things, she comes by it honestly, or maybe all who follow do. πŸ™‚ Adam is who he is and I can relate.

I think she’s picked the wrong being to complain to, but that’s the way the story goes… Good one, Plaridel.
