After losing his job, he went through a deep depression and decided to end it all.

He had a drink at the bar watching his favorite band play. Then he headed to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Standing on the ledge of the bridge, he heard a voice asking for help. It was from a senior citizen clutching his breast.

Immediately, he reached out to him and called 911. His action saved the man’s life and his own.

Back in his mother’s basement, he found that being home provided the sense of comfort and support he needed to rebuild his life.

    Dear Plaridel,

A wondeful story and illustration of how no man is an island. Well done.

A story of survival, even if he’s in Mom’s basement for a while. There are worse places!

Beautifully inspirational! Sometimes “angels” come amongst us in the most unusual way and circumstances to provide just what we need in the moment. I’m glad your character found his “angel”.

Angels step in when we most need them. I’m glad he survived his brush with death and hope his strength is restored at mom’s (even though basement dwelling can’t be too good for the spirit, no matter if at mom’s or not.) Interesting story, Plaridel.

Sometimes we just need to stop thinking about ourselves and realize our problems are small compared to what someone else is going through. Glad he’s healing now.
