It was tough being homeless living along railroad tracks. For one, Kyle had struggled to practice good health habits like washing his hands before eating.
It was the coronavirus pandemic that made him pay attention to personal hygiene. But it didn’t help as far as eating was concerned. While washing hands was no longer an issue, it was the eating itself that became the problem.
Due to the pandemic, restaurants that used to give him leftovers destined to be thrown away had been shutdown. As a result, with clean hands and all that, Kyle found himself starving. Such is life.

Ashley was cleaning out her dorm when her best friend stopped by.
“We’re having a spring break party at the diner,” she said. “I want you to come.”
“I thought we’re told to practice social distancing.”
“Don’t be a party pooper. This pandemic can’t stop us from partying.”
Reluctantly, Ashley joined and didn’t regret it. She had a lot of fun.
Upon arriving home, Ashley was excited to see her grandmother again. “I miss you, Nana,” she said and gave her a big hug.
A few days later, Nana was rushed to the hospital when she started developing pneumonia-like symptoms.
