The whole village was abuzz in preparation for Riaz’s homecoming after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature.

As she watched the local band rehearsing, Amal couldn’t be happier for her childhood friend. He had dreamed of being a famous writer.

Riaz once told her how much he loved her. In her heart, she loved him, too. But when he proposed to her, she declined. She married her distant cousin instead bowing to her father’s wishes.

With tears rolling down her face, Amal knew she made the right decision. Riaz wasn’t meant to be with her. He belonged to the world.
