“Abby told him to meet at the Symphony Hall.

“Like a real date?” Nathan asked.

“You can call it anyway you want.”

Nathan couldn’t believe his luck. Abby knew he had a big crush on her and she was playing hard to get.

As he waited for her arrival, thoughts of a romantic evening kept dancing in his head. Maybe he could even kiss her good night.

An hour passed. Still, there was no sign of her.

Suddenly, his cellphone rang.

It was Abby.

“Where are you? Nathan asked trying to hide his annoyance.

“Gotcha!” she said. “It’s April Fools!”

Abby needs to be careful if she wants a happy life. Every little cruelty will leave its mark upon her face and upon her heart.
Poor Nathan, though! Unrequited love is a bitch.

That was calculated and spiteful of Abby. Someone could remind her how karma works but she probably wouldn’t care.

    Dear Plaridel,

I hope that cruel joke puts an end to Nathan’s misguided crush on Abby. Not worth his time. Good one.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle
