It was one of those lazy summer day.

Rachel was watching Love Story, totally engrossed, wiping her tears with a tissue.

Suddenly, she heard a loud noise outside. When she went out looking, she saw her husband’s car crashed into the fence.

It appeared that Jeffrey accidentally released the parking brake while pretending to drive. Fortunately, he wasn’t hurt.

“I’m so sorry, mom,” he said. “I didn’t mean to do it.”

“Love means never to say you’re sorry.”

Jeffrey felt relieved, if only for a moment.

“But wait until you hear from your dad,” she continued. β€œHe’ll be home shortly.”

I never did understand that phrase, Love means never having to say you’re sorry – if you’ve slipped up, made a mistake, been rude, apologising proves you care.

The old stand by: “Wait till your father gets home.”

I did that when I was a kid. My dad was under the car. Fortunately, he stopped the car before it went anywhere.

Perhaps it is time to leave home, Jeffrey. Could you go and stay with a distant relative, the further away the better.
there was a report recently of a 9 year old taking her 4 year old sister to the beach in her dad’s car. they crashed.
