After a night of partying, Becky had overslept. On the way to work, she went right past a stop sign.
“Sir, I’m very sorry,” she said to the cop who pulled her over. “I didn’t mean to do it.”
“You seem to be in such a hurry. What’s the rush?”
“Officer, it’s a life and death situation. I’m a surgical nurse and got an emergency call.”
Of course, it was a lie. The cop completely fell for it, though.
“Is that right? Come follow me.”
With the siren blaring, the officer escorted Becky to the hospital like a true celebrity.

Dear Plaridel,
I see this is a true story. I’m sure she had plenty of explaining to do when she got to work. Cute.
Shalom,
Rochelle

I am glad there was no accident. Might be wiser to call in sick. It’s called paying the piper.

sounds like a great idea. that’ll work. 🙂

Lying to the police, generally speaking, is not a good idea. We already know she likes a risky lifestyle of partying, so lying is par for the course… and there she is, hung over and ready for surgery!

If she’s a nurse and got to work in time, all good. I only hope the cop doesn’t find out. Fun story!
