Weekly Photo Challenge: Order

Stockholm, Sweden

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Whenever I travel, I make it a point to visit the neighborhood market away from the usual tourist spots. It offers a glimpse of local life and the people living in it.

Above is a picture that I took in Stockholm, Sweden. I marveled at the care and attention that the vendor was giving to his offerings, arranging them in a neat and orderly manner, making them more attractive to prospective buyers.

In a way, it could sum up my impressions of Sweden after visiting it for the first time last summer. The people are well-dressed, polite, modest, and law-abiding with a high sense of order and organization. While they’re open-minded, they also value their privacy and keep to themselves especially in the presence of strangers. As a borderline introvert, these are traits that I find endearing and feel comfortable with. Trust me, I’m going back to this beautiful country again.

That is a neat fruit stall there. The stallholder seems to be deep in concentration arranging those berries. He probably arranged the bananas next šŸ˜€ Hope you had a good time in Sweden. It sounds like the people there are mild-mannered and they kept the introvert in you happy šŸ™‚

well, i didn’t stay long enough to see what he did to the bananas. based on his serious demeanor, it was likely that he arranged them nicely like a true swede. šŸ™‚ anyway, i really enjoyed my time in sweden and hope to be back someday. šŸ™‚
