Weekly Photo Challenge: (Extra)ordinary

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland</strong?
Today’s kids wouldn’t have a clue what it is designed for.
In these days of smartphones, the phone booth could be considered a remnant of the past indeed.
But you can still find it in major cities around the world.
That is, if you care to look. So, keep you eyes sharp. Who knows? You may even find a Mr. Clark changing into a Superman outfit inside.

Good one and the extraordinary thing is there’s no graffiti on it anywhere!

I must admit, when I’m out and about and I see one of these I do think “ooh, a traditional phone box”. I still remember the way they smelt (I used them quite a lot growing up, and they all had the same smell!).

draliman:
unfortunately, i remember that sometimes they were used as a substitute toilet which made them smell awful.

Ha, yes, your words bring that smell immediately to mind… 🙂

Then there’s Dr. Who and his Tardis time traveling machine that looks like an old British phone booth. 🙂
