Old
Location: Barrio de Santa Cruz, Seville, Spain

Narrow streets and quiet alleys greet visitors of Barrio de Santa Cruz, one of Seville’s major attractions. Shaded by surrounding buildings, they provide relief from the unrelenting summer heat.

Barrio de Santa Cruz was formerly known as Old Judería. It was home to the Spanish Jews until anti-Semitic sentiments in the 15h century forced them to either convert to Christianity or leave.

I lived in Sevilla for 6 weeks this year and I wandered through the narrow streets and alleys of Santa Cruz several times. I was usually lost. Sevilla is a beautiful city.
