weekly photo challenge : habit

whenever i feel the need to unwind, i go to the nearby lake chabot regional park located in the alameda country, california. it’s about a mile from my place.
it has a man-made lake where fishing and non-motorized boating are allowed. built in the 1870s, the lake covers 317 acres. i find hiking around the lake very peaceful and relaxing. it’s about nine miles, but it’s all worth it. it’s as close to nature as you can possibly be.

it is… just don’t put your guard down when you see deer roaming around. it means mountain lions may not be far behind. usually, there’ll be warnings posted to remind you.
